Default Lucas HP2 - piston diametres

Does anyone know, or have an idea where I can find (yes I've been searching to no avail) the size of the pistons in the Lucas HP2 2 Piston calipers.

I'm certain that the PITA setup of 4 pads per caliper is the cause of my horrendously noisy brakes as pretty much every other solution has been tried, so I'm looking at upgrading calipers to something like the Evo 4-9 Brembo 4 Piston on the 314mm x 30mm rotor. The Brembo will give a greater selection of pads, and if the ******* is going to make noise, then I may as well have really good pads worth the noise.

I hated those stupid things on my '99. I could never stop them screeching.

No idea on the piston sizes, but as far as I know all D2s have the 25.4mm master cylinder even with Brembos so I don't see any reason why you couldn't use the Evo calipers.

Yer they are just a pain. Had some TRW's on there when I bought the car a year ago, replaced the rotors with RDA's and the pads with some Remsa's (made by TRW) and I cant get them to shut up. even had replacement pads sent, chamfered and non-chamfered and nothing helped.

I did contemplate the FC3S RX7 4 Pistons, but they cant run anything more than a 305mm rotor due to their profile, whereas the 314mm x 30mm sits right between the Evo/GTR/350Z range of sizes which that caliper comes on.

Will just need to measure up and design some brackets, and as you said the 1in bore MC will work.

Does your E38 have Brembos? Those are a lot cheaper than the Evo versions.
