I don't know if they make them in your size, but check out the Michelin Cross Climates - they are an excellent all-round tyre that can be used in summer but has great grip in snow/ice too.

I got a set on my Volvo and I've been really impressed. They're quiet too.

I'd love to see the theory/design behind that, as tyre companies have spent years pushing different tyres for different purposes - different compounds with specific characteristics for different climates. Have they come up with new rubber compounds which are able to be optimal over a wider range of temperatures? How do they work?

Oh - and I'm still on winters till this snow stops...

My personal experience is that they've worked very well on my Volvo - they feel very surefooted and inspire confidence.

Cross Climates are getting rave reviews right now, I've been asking around here and on other forums. I want a set. Not entirely sure what sizes they're available in. Maybe when my current tyres wear down...

Edit: Seems they don't do tyres bigger than 17".
