Digging up an old thread here but has anyone gone through with backbox removal on the 3.0tdi? I've got mine booked in next month for either tips change or tips an back box removal (straight through in place) have heard some 3.0tdis on youtube with backboxes removed and liking the sound, just want to see if anyone has done this and what there experience was?

i have no rear silencers sounds nice
powerflow made my system when it was 6 months old
always been happy with it
sounds like a quiet RS4

cheers for getting back to me matey, I had a quote for 140 just for fitting the tips and 280 for stainless steel pipes and tips, think I will be getting the boxes off, had you got a sound clip Roberto?

No i dont sorry that beyond my little head in afraid
many on here have heard it though
i think my pipes are 3" straight through cat back twin ofcource
with RS6 tips on now

I've heard roberto's car close up, the wife's A4 has the same engine...they sound nothing alike
