Mazda 626 Daily Drive
Hi Folks,
I bought a 626, gassed up, tonight and am traveling by bus and train to Edinburgh to buy it tomorrow(Sunday 15.1.17) ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAZDA-626-...AAAOSw8gVX8lOm In an ideal world I would have done more research but at least I have a little time now to ask:- anybody got any thoughts / experience / tales of woe?? Robert

Ran a number of Mazdas as a daily drive/rep mobiles over the years.
Ran a coupe version of the car you are looking at to well over 200k miles on the original clutch (and that was as a repmobile) Bullet proof reliability, parts could be expensive if you stray away from servicing items. Then again we're on an Audi forum - Mazda parts are cheap in comparison!

Hi There,
Folks had a few of them and they were very reliable and pretty decent, though most models were not that outstanding in terms of performance. They also had a very weird one that had four wheel steering which was confusing as a passenger when the car moved in very odd ways in a car park, that was a special edition and went well too! Lee |

Can't go wrong with that. They're dull, but very reliable. My elderly mother would still have hers if she hadn't crashed it (and the Honda that replaced it.. and the Daewoo that preceded it... )

Maybe I've Dropped On?
Hi,
First, is "Dropped On" a Yorkshire thing? Dropped on your feet I guess. Thanks for your positive comments, the Mazda is gassed up and a LOT more comfortable than the Fiesta for my huge bulk! Respect to the Ford though, little Z Tec and gearbox pulls like a train, has given good, cheap, commuting Barnsley to Leeds for about a year. It cost me less than 1 x season ticket for 2 months for that journey. For 1 person. SWIMBO and I car share... Wonder why the roads are so full?? Robert PS. We also value our old cars for worry free (and charge free ) parking
