Ouch!
The 405 SRi was no looker but it was a surprisingly nice car to drive. I drove a company-owned 405 SRi frequently in the early 90's, about the same time as I owned my own Citroen BXs. The 405 shared a lot of parts with the BX but I think it actually drove better.

This is probably sacrilegious being an Audi based forum......
A6 Allroad 3.0TDI >>>> Infiniti FX30d. Two different vehicles but the attitude of the audi salesman killed the deal. RS4 Avant >>>>> Subaru Legacy 3.0R Car sold about 10 minutes before I arrived at the dealership I'll end up with an Audi as a daily drive someday!

Porsche 996 C4S > Audi S8 D3
Not strictly one after the other, but I had two cars in my sights and I was looking at the C4S first, came really close, but paths crossed with Porsche specialists Fensport and they said to avoid all 996 except the Mezger engined turbos, if I couldnt afford that, buy the S8, so I did. |
