Thanks Julian - I've ordered from Audi using the part number that I think SnapDragon specified (whoever did the MMI update PDF) - this is the one they listed as "repair kit"
I assume I can run this with engine running and all electrical components aside from MMI turned off? Read that was the way to do it from the PDF - don't have a home charger to do it any other way. |

![]() I would run CD1 first [go to 5150] and then CD3 [go to 5570]. Then consider if you want/need to run CD2 to update the BT phone software. Julian

Audi, to my knowledge, haver never published the changes implemented in any updates to ECU firmware. Accordingly, it's impossible to determine what fixes, changes or additions are made when going from one level to another.
![]() The BTA [aka rSAP] ECU quoted in this thread is quite rare [compared with Handyvorb2]; all I can say is that the level in the car mentioned - 0530 - is the very first level on that ECU and that it had four subsequent updates in the following two years - 0710, 0900, 0960, 1120 [Final]. I don't have a BT phone ECU; but I'd suggest if your BT phone works, don't bother with any updates ... Julian

I don't have any issues with the BT in the car right now (aside from Siri getting confused now and again which can confuse the BT in to whether it should activate or not) so my intention is to:
1. Run CD1 2. Run CD3 3. Remove CD player and fit AMI in its place 4. Check functionality 5. Run CD1 and CD3 again to see if subsequent updates apply to the AMI module newly fitted In fact - if it all works after point 4 then I'm likely to just leave well alone :-) |

![]() However, I thought you said "I have ordered the 2G External device AMI 4E0057785F". Check the label and I think that level will be at V850. If it is, that's the latest level and you don't need 5 anyway ![]() BTW, 1 & 2 should say "Run CDx until no updates are indicated"; to make sure there are no further updates on a CD. I vaguely recall 5150 updates some MMI screens second time ... Julian

Thanks, ran cd1 once and cd3 once, all done fine.
Are you saying I should run them both through again or just cd3? |
