One day I will go to the German meet, I can't make it this year due to other family commitments but perhaps next year. My brother lives near Frankfurt so could pop in on the way.

Pete, note that both Frankfurts are not next door to the meet. Germany is pretty big.
Presume you mean Frankfurt am Main? Maybe 350Km Frankfurt an der Oder is some 450Km away.
