Seriously though, while that looks neater than overhead cables, it's not very practical. Since it's not out of reach, it would need to be low voltage, which means high current (= lots of arcing, volt-drop and burnt-out contacts). And when the local utilities suppliers dig up that section of road, which they will inevitably and frequently do, it will no doubt affect entire sections of track.

I'd start with aviation industry
 Create a plane that will fly between the Europe and the US on a single battery charge. After that all other problems will be solved automatically.
