ive only just seen this post
 many thanks everybody for the best wishes i havent bought another car yet and dont think i will im not sure on all these new engines for longevity ive read too many forums with issues oh dear ,, i think my mate has the right idea with his 340,000 mile 5cyl 2.5 tdi
