Is the compressor a known good one? The overheating code seems new so could be a faulty compressor.

Most recovery companies will have low flat beds that will recover supercars etc that are very low to the ground

Yes, it's been rebuilt by myself and put out 16 bar but I think we've found the culprit and it's the green airline that has a small hole in it and air is escaping from the airline.
This is the airline that goes to the front drivers side strut.

just to add I assume the compressor shut down to save itself after trying to no avail to inflate the air-strut.

That's what would have caused the 01577 code to be thrown up.

Correct. It shuts down to save itself however if it has been working hard for a while (every start and driving say) then it can burn out which I gather is what happened to the old one. I wonder if the green pipe was the original culprit?

Hmm not sure but car was fine before if I'm honest. I'm currently looking at solution to remove the damage section of airline and re join it properly.

**update 04/03/20**

Well I got the car back and the yellow suspension light was on solid. I called Neeldub round who has VCDS and we did a scan clear all the fault codes and did a basic calibration.

it seems to have cleared the yellow suspension light. Strangely lift mode is sometimes greyed out and then comes back on again..

Anyone know why this might be?

Does the lift mode grey out when the car is standing still? It does grey out at a certain speed but shouldn't do at stand still

chaps, can anyone confirm the number for the 30a fuse for the air suspension?

I get part number: 443937105A and this is for a 30a 12v thermal fuse relay.

When we speak of replacing the fuse along with the relay can anyone confirm that the above part number is the correct one?

It's also green in a silver case 2 pin. see here:
