i like the new S4 avant tdi ive not really experienced any Turbo Lag on the modern diesels

That was a terrible move. TDi are for people that can't afford fuel. S models are a status symbol for those that have climbed above the ranks of repmobile. Putting a TDi in the S4 and S5 may have made technical sense, but noone wants an S model that sounds like a tractor. Thankfully way outside my budget, but wouldn't have one on principal tbh.
