Hello All. Rekindling my original post.
My daughter is turning 17 this year, and I’m feeling an A2 is just about perfect for her first car. Anyone done the same? Not looked at insurance, but suspecting base 1.4 petrol is the best option. Anyway, will be looking out for a cheap one over the next few months. Any thoughts? Zip

A2,s
well Malk my friend has 3 90bhp tdi,s (best one and £30 a year to tax) and we together have been restoring them over the last 4 years they can be a pig to work on and have many faults as we have discovered over the years they do tend to rust badly underneath suspension, subframe etc so look at the mot history or possibly get the car on a ramp lots of parts are becoming obsolete now the fsi has many engine issues and is more expensive to tax (£180-ish) be carefull a cheap one may cost you big time its a specialist car and not many garages understand them the last one we restored stands Malk at £5500 but is as new as they come and thats NO LABOUR INC any questions fire away personally from experience id but the Fiat Panda as tintin did ![]()
