Pushing 20 years since the last ones were made & a quarter of them still in use. That probably says something about the ownership group, but also a hell of a lot about the car.

There can't be many cars with a comparable rate of survival.

I've not thought about it as a percentage of the originals. 25% is much less depressing than only 170 remaining. There are almost twice as many Aston Martin DB5s left More original Lotus Sevens even.

Seems there is still some way to go before they are too rare or expensive to take apart though.

And pushing 20 years since I bought my first one! Just 3 months to go for my "China" S8 anniversary.

Really weird thing is that my current one (only my second) was built exactly 2 weeks before I bought my first.....
