S8 Brembos binding...?

After new OE discs and pads last week, it appears that the offside inner pad is dragging or binding on the disc. Massively overheating, warping and vibrating at motorway speeds, then cooling at lower speeds. Disc remains slightly warped, and inside half of disc is white and flakey.

Anyone have this before? Car's back with Audi to fix today, but wondered if anyone had encountered this. Assuming this is just down to poor fitting.
