Yes, it has been expensive, but it usually is when you do something new. In the beginning of july, I will fit new turbos, for more power. It´s nice when you race a sports bike with an S8, they can not understand that I´m still in their rearview mirror ![]() ´ Also the interior is being rebuilt, but I´m keeping the luxury felling, just updating. The german car was with automatic transmission. It makes the conversion easier, but this would not last long with the power from my engine. I´ve kept the 6-speed manual from the S8, but with another clutch to handle the power. You could think it is just to lower an engine in the bay, but it is heavily rebuilt under the bonnet, to get everything fitting and working properly. Dahlbäck Racing is among the best with Audis, and they thought it was challenging ![]() For you to know, it´s my every-day-drive. Last edited by Audi_RS8; 19th June 2011 at 07:05 AM. |

Amanda from another Audi forum has spent some serious ££££ modifying her RS 6 with Loba 650 turbos and a lot of other things including new cam shafts. It went on a dyno and put out 980nm of torque!! The brand new torque convertor lasted about a month with that much power so now she has a much stronger torque convector on the way that was custom built in the US and should allow more torque then she has in one last attempt to keep it auto. I haven't taken her offer up of a drive yet as I know I would buy an RS 6 faster then that thing could reach 60... I know MRC had a manual C5 that put out 778 BHP on a dyno too.
Dahlback certainly know what they are doing, please put up some more pictures. Is that a bucket type seat I spy? ![]()

This weekend I have installed new, hybrid KKK´s. When the original conversion was made, we also uppgraded fuel, clutch etc. This means, that with a remap, it is now possible for me to get 650-700bhp
Hopefully the testdrive is tomorrow, I will keep you updated. |
