Ian!! Sacrilege!!!

I use a big MF towel on mine, but if you've got a couple of good layers of wax on, it should reduce it down too. CtL uses filtered water (industrial sized brita filter) as he said above (posted while I was typin).

I wash with snowfoam, then try down with a water magnet thingy.

Then I used quick detailer, spray on a panel and wipe off. Does the trick and quick too

what about a squeegi or however you spell it i use one for the windows but its harder than the soft ones you can get for body work from say halfords ect.... i will try that the water marks that are all ready there are the hard ones to remove i wash the car over and over and seems to look good then it dries and they re- appear again

I use one of these:

...cos don't you just hate it when you drive off after washing it and get water flicked on to the doors from the wing mirrors and on the rear boot lid OCD just a bit
