Was just talking to company in Bolton today about retrofit digital tv, http://www.audiretrofit.com they told me that if you have analogue tv to start they fit a non audi tuner which sounds like the one Kufatec have with the remote. Cost in this case is £350 plus vat, but, if no analogue tv, then cost doubles! Aerials required and another box of some sort which I think provides av outputs. £700ish plus vat is a bit steep for me. To make me feel better he told me that Audi dtv kit retrofitted would be £1500ish(gasp) Seems like a dtv install from scratch needs a significant outlay.

I already fitted a dvb-t/ usb movie file player in to the analogue tv inputs, digital Tv is not great at the moment but is getting better in the area's like manchester which have switched of analogue and boosted the digtals signals.
if you want digital tv make sure you buy one which automatically scans the channels or you need to keep re- searching all the time while on the move. Personally i wouldnt get a dvd system as its installed in the boot, and you need to open the boot to change the dvd everytime. a hard disk or USB disk player is much more useful, and very cheap, there are loads available from £30 upwards, just make sure you get one which has a remote eye so can be controlled easily by remote. even the cheap units look great on the MMI screen. so no need to spend a fortune on these things.
