On the weekend I decided to tackle the Windscreen Washer that is not working and removed the Airbox to get to it (as per ELSA) only to find that
the only way to get it out is through the wheel arch... Hmmm Needless to say I didn't get that far....but found a few other issues I need to resolve. I am getting to much dirt bypassing the filter and ending up on the screen just before the MAF. So I need to seal the Airbox up properly which requires sealing the Aftermarket SAI that is fitted.... This brings me to a plea for a pic of the top of the Motor at the intake manifold with the Top Engine Cover removed. I am trying to establish what are the aftermarket mods that have been installed that are all related to the SAI in the Airbox. I am trying to establish the purpose of this whole Mod. I would really appreciate it if someone with a S8 D2 could post a Pic as requested above. Thanx Guys

 It's usually me receiving help here.I have a couple of silicone tubes that recently replaced some worn vacuum pipes, but other than that I think it's standard BTW - send us some of your weather please...

Having had a decent dry (whats that?) day on Saturday I changed the oil/filter and air filter. (The problems of not having a garage
 )I used Mann filters for air and oil filter and in a side by side comparison, the air filter was of exactly the same construction (materials/folds etc) as the audi one i removed with the exception of the Audi logo and numbers. The one I removed looked like the dog had had a go at it before it went in. (the red seal was missing in places.) The oil filter installed on the car was a Mahle/Knec and of the same construction as the Mann. It was however, crushed when installed so it had a twist in it when i removed it. It looked like it had not seated correctly. Is this carelessnes by the last servicer or has anyone else seen this? The last photo is (i think) of the power steering pump. It seems to have a slight leak but there is no apparent loss of fluid levels in teh reservoir. Is it the PS Pump?
