noise is deffo coming from front middle of engine. could it be a tensioner etc ?. its as though something is lose . looks like i need to get timing belt cover off .......

It's hard to say without hearing it but could be tensioning or relay rollers for either cambelt or fanbelt, water pump and fan bearings.
