Doubt that Sloss - How much did you pay for your first house?

£3,750 for a 3 bed semi in 1970.

Petrol was 4 gallons (20 litres) for a pound and some change.

I was paid £1k a year - £20/week. Good money then.

Jaguar E Type was £1,800 new - nearly 2 years pay
