I'd hazard a guess at Electro-Magnetic Compatibility - but maybe there's another IT-geeky field (no pun intended) with the same acronym.....

The EMC came from the 3 guys who formed the company (can't remember the names) apparently. They also own the Iomega brand for those that can be bothered

I must say I’m impressed by many of you in here

After 12 years of school I had 1 year in the Navy (every man in Norway need to enroll for a year unless you have an illness of some kind)

After that I went back to school to do a year with Network Administrator and another year for Oracle Database Administrator.. Waste of time since I found working with it extremely boring(I kinda like to move around )

So then I Started working for Scandinavian Airlines as a team leader at their callsenter.. ok job, but didn’t give me enough challenges. So in 2002 when times was bad for the Air industry I took a 2 year leave and started something totally different, Assisting manager of a supermarket. and I loved it, so in 2003 I became the manager of a store with 25 employees and in 2004 it signed a Franchising for the same supermarket. It was fun but a lot of work. min 6 days a week plus a few hours doing paperwork on Sundays. up 0515 every morning to be at work 0600 to get the shop ready for opening at 8am. Normal workday would end at 6-7 pm.(unless somebody called in sick and I would stay to 1130 pm) It was good money and free food/car/fuel

In 2010 became a father and realized that running a supermarket/franchising in the country in Europe that has most supermarket/grocery shops compared to residents was not the right thing to do with a baby at home So in 2011 I sold the shop back to the Franchise owner, moved to my girlfriends hometown and now I work at Kuehne + Nagel as Department "manager" for the Ship spares department. For me its a totally different world then for a year ago.. working 8-4 and having the weekends of are extremely nice... Only thing is that I now realize how expensive food is again and my paycheck is missing a digit.. hehe.

What the future brings I’m unsure of, I still have my company if something exiting would come by...

Default hello everyone

well i must be one of the dumbest here, i didn't finish school it bored me to much. But the good boys down at the Army took me straight in at 16, that was in 1991 and i've never looked back. I'm in the infantry and i work as a fire controller in mortars, basicaly i go out on the front line and radio a grid to the mortars and they fire on it. I'm currently in Afghan at the moment and ive got 2 months left over here and i managed to find this web site on my down time. I'm on my second A8 now, i ve just recently bought it but have'nt had a good drive of it yet as i'm out here, can't wait to get home and try it out.
