PAS is definitely just the pump, issue is trying to get hold of one at the minute (for a decent price anyway).

It's only a problem at idle, a little bit of revs and it spings back into life, so ony ever affects it in tight car parks where you have to stop to manouver (into neutral, tough the throttle, steer, then back into R or P), feels fine on the road.

On here, still looking for £5,750 from any of you guys, will be advertising it on PH later today now the wheels are sorted out. Only planning to put the price up if I sort out the PAS before it goes, if I put a brand new unit in, then it's about £500 fitted.

Sorry Richard, not feeling confident my viewer is going to buy, he can see that it's in great nick, but the whole 'stolen recovered' thing was an irritation I think, though he did say he'd had 3 Boxsters before and one of those was damage repaired too.

Only negative is that the paint on my bonnet not looking too great, and think I'm going to get it repainted rather than paint corrected, as I'm now convinced when this was painted from the damage caused when it as stolen, it just wasn't done very well, and probably only gonna cost me £150-£200 or so.

heard nothing from my viewer, and not going to advertise it again for a while yet, so looks like I'll be staying 8-less for a while as now going to get the 60k service done, then sort out the paint on the bonnet (not sure yet if this will be a machine polish or re-paint), then thinking about a retro-fit cruise & OBC and enjoy it for another summer.

Unless anyone wants to swap their 8 for a Boxster...

Ah well.. At least you've still got a decent motor to play with in the meantime.

I'm not sure, it's just looks a bit 'washy'

Car had some minor frontal accident repair when stolen, I think they just made a bit of a bodge of the bonnet.

Seemed okay when I bought her, but the first time I applied any polish (only mild abrasive), the result on the bonnet was very poor, looked far worse than before I polished, almost as if it had faded in the sun and a lot of swirl marks became apparent (yes I checked my polishing cloth for grit etc)

Had a price of £250 to repaint the bonnet, think I could find cheaper but I have heard the guy is very good and comes highly recommended

Amar might know him, his name is Greg, well known I think in VW circles, works out of Ladbroke near Southam.
