I thought the FEs (like mine too!) were particular paint and upholstery combinations (I'm sure someone will be along soon with the colour combo list and dates, which I've seen before). Non-FEs also had the S mode gearbox.

Apart from badging, you can easily spot an S8 by the 'chromed' exhaust tail pipe. And a FL has flush headlight washers, fog lights in the lower grill and a chrome strip along the rear bumper, amongst other bits and pieces.

Planned mods: auto-dimming rear view mirror, dash cam (as steamship's), fit the ski hatch, refit philips drl's (or maybe not - nope, definitely not - horrible botch!).
