Default cat warning light

Hi

I have a cat warning light on at the moment,I have changed a coil pack which I think caused it to come on.
How can I reset it or does it go out when there is no fault showing again.

I think a cat warning light should go out on the dash if the problem was fixed, the fault would not be cleared from the ECU's memory though unless it was reset. Could be wrong. Check the Vag Com register on here and get the light reset anyway.

Faults are deleted if they do not reappear for 30 or 40 times ignition is turned on except some security and safety faults like airbags. If the fault is fixed light will not come on even if the fault code is still saved except safety features like airbags again.
