Default Vag-Tacho for Immob III?

Hello,

I've got Vag-Tacho and Vag-Com and know my way around them enough to be able to reprogram ECU's etc within Immob 1 and Immob 2 but this doesn't do Immob 3.

Does anyone know of an alternative which can get codes from Immob 3 ECUs?

I want to swap over to a Manual ECU when I carry out a conversion later on but don't want to just pay someone else to do it...

Cheers

MG

On PF A8 you can swap ECU's with just VAGCOM(VCDS) without PIN. On FL I think you need PIN and that can be extracted with VAG Commander if I am not wrong.

As for the manual swap you can change software coding With VCDS on S8, no need for ECU swap. A bit more problematic on A8 as 4.2 A8 don't have coding for manual in ECU because they were never sold with manual.

What's the soft code for 'manual' within the stock ecu?

I also want to be able to add keys etc so will still need to be able to get the immob code out of it.

I can check later but you should be able to find it somewhere on the forum here as it has been discussed before.

should be a 1 in the fourth digit in the ECU code.
Mine is 10753 for auto, manual would be 10713

When you're trying to get an ABZ (which came out of a salvage car fired A8) running with an immobiliser from a different car and a key which isn't matched to anything... it's fairly useful!

Also comes in handy when your Boss comes to you with his sister ex TT saying that the spare key opens the car but the engine stalls after 1/2 second of running time.

Shame it won't work on FL D2s!

I've bought Vag k+cam Super Code Reader which is supposed to be able to read codes from Immob 3. We'll see shortly!

Next will be looking at removing the immob completely from the engine ECU as I don't want to run the clocks.

This was on a stock 32V A8Q, not S8.

I've just got the SuperVAG K+CAN through the post, plugged it in and I have a code

Very easy to do and this means that I can add another key, change ECUs over etc without having to go to Audi.

The tool was £90 but I'd have spent that at Audi doing this once so I'm happy.
