After talking to NSK, and then BRT, and then one of their distributors (ever get the feeling that when things get tough, you get passed onto the next person!)...
I've found out that the NSK version part number is B17-99 T1XDDW8CM. They're around £15 retail but the next availability date is some time in July. Ho-hum. Time to ring around the distributors and check if anyone has one on the shelf. MG |

Do you mean they have not got exact part number or you could not find one with same dimensions?

For some reason, that person at NSK couldn't cross reference the SC03A21LHA part number but one of the distributors seemed to have more nowse and found the correct NSK bearing number.
It seems that any 17 x 52 x 17 bearing is an odd size! MG |

Daily update (next episode!!)
I managed to phone several distributors this morning including Brammer (ver helpful.. ongoing), Gerald Summers who apparently have 2 of the correct bearings on the shelf but want £33.18 plus vat and plus postage for one! As NSK gave me a retail price of £15 for it, I questioned it and they got a little shirty to say the least. I could buy another alternator for the price it would cost to get that bearing to me! MG |

I have had good results buying locally (!) from a "power transmission" distributor, surprisingly. In my experience (as an industrial supply salesman) the bearing's proprietary part # can be crossed to a line they carry. I've bought $40 bearings for $7 (FAG brand, high quality) and not even in quantity (usually the "onesies" have to cost more just to cover paperwork, etc., of course) and they usually had them in stock in Nashville, TN. Go to the oldest guy at the counter. Here they seem to think it's a challenge, and they all come around to see who can decipher the number first! Good to love one's job!
Good luck! Tom Edit: It looks like this post somehow got lost in a time warp; you were well on the way to crossing over the number at this point in the thread, Synchro S8. I think I posted this before the 2-3 posts above, if that's possible; or perhaps I should cut down on the "drinking-and-posting"!
