Guy, you don't need to play up with electrics in that box, but it can be the damn gasket.

Are you driving near Reading from time to time?

i do drive by there every so often, i have spent most of the daylight hours at it today so only time will tell now if i have cured it at last, it seems that when i plugged Botang's Hole it was not the correct hole after all, so i finally tracked it down and sealed it,

it was hidden under a paper tab that looked like just part of the paint, but you could not see that in the pictures of botangs hole as he had already removed it before taking the picture, But it is sealed at last, just hope that dose the job now.

just a case of drying everything out
thanks for the help Sergey

If it's a combo of the tranny tunnel and scuttle drains being blocked, you'll actually SEE the water slosh from the left side of the tranny tunnel. You can see it happen if you're taking a right hand corner.

Also, sometimes water will actually slosh out the centre consoles rear air vents and land in the rear passenger footwells.

Is this your trouble?

If not, it might be something else.

Have you done that big old 'invisible' drain 'ole in the centre of the scuttle?

Glad you sorted it Guy. You could replace that bit of chipbioard covering the electronics box with a nice piece of perspex, thats what I'm going to do.
Cant understand why they put a cheap piece of wood in there. (to absorb moisture?)

Is Botang Hole just Pf A8's or Fl to?
As mine in FL, i was thinking of finding hole from inside. Then threading a little bolt into hole, with sealer around it. As im not confident enough to pull that ecu box out. to get at it.
