Default W12 or D3 S8 ?????

Having never driven either of these cars I'd love to know peoples opinions on which to buy and for what reasons !!!!!

Considering one of the two for my next purchase but don't know enough about either and as I live in Northern Ireland going for test drives ain't really an option as there aren't many of either over here.

Opinions on all aspects of the two please !!!!

Thx !

There's not a lot between them.
The S8 has the noise of course
whereas the W12 is for wuzzies

Same power output, W12 has the edge on torque, S8 has the edge on handling. The S8 sounds better too, and provides a sportier ride.

If I was making the decision, I would go for the S8.

The short wheel base W12 is a sports moddels and shares the same set up as the s8 its exactly the same apart from some carbon fiber trim and some shiny mirrors the W12 much cheaper to buy at the moment fuel econ is the same over all. And to be fair the w12 is smoother and the noise off it with a pair of k@n filters is unreal its an animal. I prefer the w12 to be honest.

There you have it. Great question with these two fantastic cars so close there's always going to be warm discussion

If you have no clear preference, then perhaps you should take into account the bits and pieces added to whatever car you are considering.
For me the B&O is a big plus. And perhaps consider the Active cruise control if you do a lot of miles

But the W12 is still for the wuzzies

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant.
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!
