Default Just desserts????

I hate these things with a vengeance so imagine my delight to see this about 8 miles from me...............in rural north Wales
And no it wasn't me before anyone asks!

The business end at the top appears to be undamaged however.

Looks like the stem got a bit...warm? It's been a hot summer, I guess anything can happen.

It gets a bit more problematic with the manned vans..... (I have recently got "done" by one in Dorset )

Exactly how it happened. It was a country lane with a few houses on it exactly the same as other stretches of the same road where it was national speed limit - except i missed the small repeater signs.

I thought the usual way used to kill these cameras was to 'necklace' them.
That is, hang a tyre over and round the camera, fill it with petrol and torch it.
