Ian, thanks for that thread link it was REALLY useful info.
I think I did once glance at that thread, but as it's primarily about fitting an RNS-E into a FL car I didn't get far into it. Some things I've identified already from that thread: - You found a +12V ignition feed (black/green) to the TV tuner. I need that.  - The diversity/aerial setup for your "A" tuner is probably the same as mine with that aerial "diversity" unit inside the cabin. - I reckon that unit is actually just a filter, splitting radio and TV signals off into their respective directions. If it was doing diversity stuff why have 4 leads going on to the TV tuner? - Also it looks like the aerials are powered, but not "up the cable" from the TV, so I can leave them alone and presume (hope) they still work OK. - That aerial unit behind the rear seats looks like it could have a more common type of connector for the TV aerials so if necessary I could tap in there, though I don't want to. Or is it that connector type you can't identify at that end as well? So, overall I'm feeling more positive.  If only I could identify those weird connectors.  There's convenient power, I know where to run the cables I need and the existing aerial(s) should work. On the down side I'm probably going to have to hack into the aerial cables in the boot and reterminate.

From memory, they are the same wierd connections on the unit behind the seat as the tuner itself.
Its not a massive job to change the loom from old to new. Just back seats parcel shelf and D pillar trims off..... a8parts might be able to sort you a kit. Car aerials, especially on the move, are nothing like as good as your huge home antenna so you cant afford to have any dodgy wiring or poor connections or you'll likely end up with nothing of much use at the end of it all.... My D3, with factory aerials and factory tuner only gets acceptable reception in city and town centers generally. The rest of the time its next to useless as the audio is forver cutting out. I miss analogue, it was far more useable in a car.
