OK, been over to see Greg Howell today at Southam Bodies, he reckons the car just needs detailing, not painting, and as luck would have it, he does detailing too, just doesn't advertise it.

So, I'm booked in 2nd April for wash, clay, mop and wax, will report back on his work standards afterwards.

And his price is very reasonable.

Had the paintwork correction done a few weeks back now, didn't get round to washing it until the weekend just gone due to all the crappy weather been having - Greg's job was okay, nothing more, but I suppose he did what he said he'd do and the bonnet is at least now looking the same colour as rest of car.

Had a major service on Monday, £350 at Solihull Porsche, MOT Tuesday, flew through with no advisories. Tax up end of month, so once that's paid for got another 12 months relatively cheap running, I hope!

Couple of minor issues to resolve - an AC pipe needs replacing and then re-gassing, apparently there is a split in a power steering pipe, and driver door is still leaking despite replacing the membrane - got a free meet with the Porsche technician Saturday to go over these, but suspect the latter needs new rubber seals, hopefully not too much hassle and expense.

Now I'm working from home again, it spends about 5 days a week in the garage (a tight fit, must get round to posting a photo soon) so now only on 60,500 miles, only done about 1,500 miles in last 4 months

PS No longer for sale unless somebody offers me silly money

The Boxter is a great car with enough power and superb handling, I drove one a couple of years ago in the Highlands and it reminded me of my 944.

I agree its a great car - I had a 3.2S for a while and it was actually a much more practical every day car than I ever imagined, drove like it was on rails too!

Just put her back up for sale on Autotrader, link to follow when advert is live.

Price now £6,800 with 62,000 miles.

Major service at Porsche at 60,428 miles in June - as you can see, not been driving much in recent months, symptom of working from home.

Have fixed the leaking door properly, AC still needs sorting but will be taking it to my local garage for this in next few days, together with fixing the split PAS joint.

Please pass on my contact info if anyone knows of anyone possibly looking for a Boxster

Thanks all

These photos taken not too long after the paintwork correction:
