Having had a decent dry (whats that?) day on Saturday I changed the oil/filter and air filter. (The problems of not having a garage )

I used Mann filters for air and oil filter and in a side by side comparison, the air filter was of exactly the same construction (materials/folds etc) as the audi one i removed with the exception of the Audi logo and numbers. The one I removed looked like the dog had had a go at it before it went in. (the red seal was missing in places.)

The oil filter installed on the car was a Mahle/Knec and of the same construction as the Mann. It was however, crushed when installed so it had a twist in it when i removed it. It looked like it had not seated correctly.
Is this carelessnes by the last servicer or has anyone else seen this?

The last photo is (i think) of the power steering pump. It seems to have a slight leak but there is no apparent loss of fluid levels in teh reservoir. Is it the PS Pump?

Might be worth nipping that joint up ever so slightly, there is a copper washer each side of the union that sometimes crushes over time and just need the slightest turn to re-seal them

David, the PS pump was new just before you had the car. You should have a receipt from A4 Audi in the paperwork. So it's still under guarantee.
