sorry just seen this message.

well im only 25 so no kids yet or a wife lol

sorry no pics before but it had the same front end as yours. atm im quite busy and havnt really taken any proper pics since having it done, becuase the nasty weather crept up on me lol. thought it was going to snow this year so got rid of the m3 when summer ended and got this, but the weather did not call for my a8 lol

apparently it is but its very minute the difference thats why no one bothers with it tbh especially the price difference in mm lol.

well it cost me £2000 because it was mainly the bonnet from audi, they charged me £900 and i bought the s8 grill which was £400 so that munched most of my money. the fogs, and bumper mouldings, headlamp washer covers were from audi. only thing wasnt was the bumper which was £200 and was the s8 bumper as well.

tbh i only went for the s8 look because it was the meanest and best looking in my opinion and the s8 badge came on the grill for free so i left it lol.

ive also put a small lip spoiler on the bootlid edge, and twin exhaust back boxes. the back box gives a nice tone to the v8

well like on the other page we could do a lil meet sometime in febuary march time.

the d4's are nice like really nice, i really dont know what to say but in there class of their own, they have blown everyone and everything out of the world tbh.

the 8 is great in the snow and ice, you really dont notice it much at all, first time for me i couldnt understand why all around me were driving so slowly, seemed to slow even for the conditions, i was driving normally as if it wasnt there at all, then realised it was the 4 wheel drive, specially compared to the 3 series bmw which arent that great even when you turn the asp off.

I started collecting bits for it, wanted to do it really cheaply which would be possible if a bonnet could have been found, that bonnet would have decided which bumper would be required, too late now though.

At first i thought the D4 had less character than previous models but ive come round to it, and with the reveiws from Singh on how great it was and the way the prices are going at the moment its an option for me now

haha yeh i get what you mean. yeh the m3 was rubbish in the rain let alone sno plus it was a convertible so a no no for the roof.

you mentioned about a bonnet deciding about which bumper... what do you mean?

dont get me wrong the bmw 7series look very beastly but tbh im not going to be sitting on the outside of my car, im going to be inside and for that its hats off to audi.

theres different bonnets for the different years facelifts

ha ha - ive always been into beamers and i really wanted a 7 series too, the interior of the latest shape is quite nice but was out of my price range at the time, but the one before, my god it reminds me of tutankamans tomb, the D3s interior is spectacular in a refined uncluttered way. and so well put together

well i have a 2004 the same shape as yours, and there is only one facelift after ours i believe that it starts in 2005/2006 to . all the facelift bonnets are the after our shape no difference. i was speaking to lance at audi leeds who dealt with all my parts, and its all the same bonnets for facelift, i had given him a reg plate of a 2007 57 for the bonnet and 2008 08 s8 for grills.

i believe in our shape that the w12 differs slight with the bonnet, but on facelift all the bonnets are the same to go with the facelift bumper. only difference is the grill style, as in the chrome lasyout, s8 like mine have the chrome strips verticall, w12 are horizontol.

haha well my first bmw was an m3 for this summer and tbh i hate all other bmw's there not upto standard unless your buying a m3 or m5 which are fully loaded top of the range. i wanted to get a 7 series when i was looking, but i found this instead, the 7 series are massive but interior let me down a lot, thats why i choose the a8, plus the a8 i could facelift it, so did my reasearch before i bought it, so i got the looks the luxry and the performance all in one no other make could compare. tbh i just love my vw' and audis.

i want a lambo for the summer

theres the 2006 then the 2008, slightly different bumpers i thought the bonnets were also slightly different

the W12 came with the single grill all along, which came in on the later 2005 cars, mines early,

good job in doing the homework , i didnt do nearly enough, didnt realise how many options there were, i wont make that mistake with the d4

i want a ferrari california for the summer but it seems unlikely unless theres a lottery win
