Might sound unlikely but mine did this.
Turned out to be a buggered catalytic convertor. It was causing excessive (or not enough) back pressure. Oil consumption went through the roof. |

Assuming that the OP is from the US, a quart in that case will be less than 1 litre, something like 950mls. Which while a manufacturer may claim is within normal limits, does seem unusual if the car wasn't using any before.
Ouch just re-read, damn near two litres... Something not right there, how much was put in at the service, does it state on the invoice? |
