Hi There,
Messing with the arm rests and need to feed some cables up and under. How quite do you remove the rear passenger air vents / heated seat controls and the big bit of trim over the transmision tunnel under the hand break etc .....I don't need to fully remove, but certainly loosen up more than the two screws at the back on the sides do! There's some info on Audipages about replacing trim around there, just can't recall exactly where ATM.

I've done this, but slightly differently. The trim around the rear ciggy lighter came away quite easily IIRC (but not sure exactly how), but then I took a side panel off on the passenger side for access to route the wiring.
I have a feeling that the vents popped out and there were nuts behind them, but best bet would be to search for Audipages link.

Here's the link: http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articl...im_removal.pdf
It says the rear trim section cover just pries off, then there are bolts behind it.

There are two small recessess at the bottom of cigarette lighter wood surround. Use old credit card to pry off surround and you will see bolts. Everything else will be bleeding obvious. Do not use screwdriver to pry off the surround, use something plastic. Metal tool will leave marks. Hope it helps.

That did it Notorious. Those two philips screws made all the difference. I now have two lighted FL arm rests in my PF car. It already had a newer style arm rest, but the light (2 red leds) were not hooked up....I modded the second one to get rid of a non working phone prep, nicked the light insert from my old car and wired them both up to key on power supply that was on another telephone kit.
