Its gone down to £560 now. I have a family mobile to cart the kids round in this just sits on the path

Have you tried running a diagnostic on the car to see what the non-starting fault is?

No havent tried anything on it. I left the door open while it was in my garage and the battery went flat. Ive got a new battery put it on and now it wont run. The orange light on dash flashes. There is a pic of a car and key on it. In manual says its imobiliser

Yes. Runs for a second or two then cuts out. The orange light is flashing on dash.

There are threads about it on here, it's a common problem. I had the same symptoms and bought a new immobiliser wire from TPS for less than £20 and it was sorted. There's a guide on how to replace it somewhere but I had my A8 in for other work so had this job done at the same time though it doesn't seem too difficult to do.

Got to be worth a try even if you do still intend selling it, it'll sell much quicker if it's running
