Just climbed out of my bunk after a few well erned hours sleep!
I won't steal Tony's thunder (may edit it a bit to ensure as few people as possible know the truth"! )
But a precis is in order me thinks; so here goes (I can't post photos due to navy IT security. )

13th - Leave pompey at 1800 meet up at Maidtone services at 2300.
Drive to Dover straight to ferry and first on!!! pritoty £12 worked.
Sail 0105, try sleep. Fail. Children and car alarms really are annoying.
0335 (local) arrive France, first off and drive like careful lunitics to get out of France.
0500 stop in Belgium. Some Sleep needed.
0600, no sleep achived as we parked in a truck stop and engines have been starting for the last 45 minutes. Go the greasy Louis' order eggs and bacon. Get an omlete each!
Aggre to drive for 2 hours and have another rest.
Drive for 3 hours and visit McDonalds to taste local culture.......
Drive for further 2 hours to discover SatNav Disk only has major roads of Europe and our destination is being driven around but not to!
Arrrive at god knows what time order first beer and big plate of food
Grab an hour of sleep.
1800 party starts with more beer. Party spills to car park with more beer, grean and red Ouzo and Vodka Redbulls. Party gets silly.
2330 Awake for 38 of the last 40 hours. Vodka redbull is heroic but not enough.
Saturday 0815 Tony wakes the hotel using his arse!!!!! Shower Shave and down for communal brekfast.
Spend next 48 hours smiling insanely
Tony can do the next bit.
Sunday light out for Nurburgring
Watch some DTM. Audi win of course. Mercedees attend!
Drive like lunitics back to Calais 150Mph and still can't catch a BMW 540 AC Snitzel.
Maintain 100Mph + for far to long. Smile inanely.
Use geman national speed limit through Holland and miss it completely.
Use german national speed limit through Belgium. Not clever, theirs in 90Kph.
Get to ferry an hour ealier than planned Darren blags us onto early ferry and still get priority boarding; first on.
0130 arrive Dover, first off. Go our seperate ways.
Drive gingerly back to Portsmouth.
Go to bed as happy as a happy person from Happyville who had had a threesome with Jordan and her better looking sister, won the lottery and found a tenner.

Looking forward to altering the truth in Tony's report!

"amazing" is the only word i can think of that could describe what this weekend was like. just everything about it was spot on. the german people were so good to us and made us feel very welcome, the place we stayed was just perfect. i could spend hours just telling you all how good it was but all i can say is "put me down for next years meet cos i am definatly comming again"

Very impressive - looks like the UK will have to raise its bar ever so slightly to get ahead of our German friends

Looks like I may have to attend next year - depends on the rest of the family though as mine is still a young'ish one

For the Brit's - just wondering, including fuel, what was the cost in the end (only roughly as I know this kind of info is personal - she who must, might find out....)

Cheers
