Default A8 vs pole

Hello everyone!

I saw this post here and thought it would be a good idea to add this link:

http://www.delfi.ee/news/paevauudise....d?id=66403932

According to police the driver was asleep.

The amazing fact is that the driver and the passenger was not injured. They walked around the scene and were probably happy faces that did not get injured and survived.

What an amazing car is the A8.

Thank you for your warm welcome!

Yes, I have the A8 4.2 (D3), which is already the second A8 I have owned. I bought it some month ago. The first was a D2. Both are gasoline powered 4,2.
In the meantime, I drove the BMW E91 which was also a good car in it's own way, but the longing brought me back to A8.

Afortunatelly the car is currently under repair. It was parked on the street when the rear-end was collided by Mercedes. And my car hit a car parked at the front. A bit trouble but might be on the next week the repair is done. Guess what it was the second time, when the Mercedes (E-class) collides to the rear end of my A8. The same happened with the D2.

There are some pics:

I apologize for the poor quality and hope this link works

Lovely car, hope it's soon restored to its former glory and back with you.

I've just recently bought a D3 after having a D2 for many years, it's quite a step up in many ways though I still love the D2 and how it looks.

Do I understand that correctly, the same Mercedes driver hit both of your cars or it was coincidentally a Mercedes on both occasions?

Please share some more photos of your car when you get it back, we love photos on here

Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate that!

Yeah, the same here! The way how D2 looks is a bit hypnotic. The proportions of this car is both sporty and majestic. This car has a timeless design and it just looks very good!

And I love the new car as well. It's a masterpiece of engineering and design in my opinion. I haven't drive it much yet but I will.

Yes, on both occasions a Mercedes hit my car but not the same driver. In the first accident D2 muffler tips perforated Mercedes licence plate and the general condition was even worse than this time. Both times Mercedes was needed towning service.

The pics and posts will come! First I need to get the car back.

Me too (SWMBO is Estonian), but we got there by M3 power

And the accident photos don't surprise me, I witnessed some pretty shocking driving pretty much everywhere east of Warsaw

Yeah, me too, I was only there a few days but observed some "erratic" driving to say the least!

I was stuck in a hotel at a conference most of the time but managed to escape and have a look around. I took these photos of a sunset from the roof of the hotel as I thought it was a lovely sight to behold

It's also significant to me as its the place that Joey Dunlop crashed and died. I saw him at the Isle of Man in the late 80's and he was a hero of mine

Looks like your hotel is in the new town, shame as the old town is rather pleasant. Is it the Viru Hotel?

Yeap, propably people are expressing their hidden subconscious tensions in traffic!?

It's true that Joey Dunlop unfortunately hit a tree during the competition on his bike and died here. It happened at Pirita-Kloostrimetsa circuit where is now the memorial stone for him.

You guys have been in Tallinn but I haven't been in England :/ But my sister lived there a while. I should fix this issue

The hotel is Radisson Blu, right?

Well spotted

sarg, we walked quite a distance one night to have a meal in what I'd consider was a "traditional" restaurant, all bench tables and wooden stairways to upper levels, they even had a swordfight to entertain us, would that be the old town?
