And the accident photos don't surprise me, I witnessed some pretty shocking driving pretty much everywhere east of Warsaw
Yeah, me too, I was only there a few days but observed some "erratic" driving to say the least!

I was stuck in a hotel at a conference most of the time but managed to escape and have a look around. I took these photos of a sunset from the roof of the hotel as I thought it was a lovely sight to behold

It's also significant to me as its the place that Joey Dunlop crashed and died. I saw him at the Isle of Man in the late 80's and he was a hero of mine

Looks like your hotel is in the new town, shame as the old town is rather pleasant. Is it the Viru Hotel?

Yeap, propably people are expressing their hidden subconscious tensions in traffic!?

It's true that Joey Dunlop unfortunately hit a tree during the competition on his bike and died here. It happened at Pirita-Kloostrimetsa circuit where is now the memorial stone for him.

You guys have been in Tallinn but I haven't been in England :/ But my sister lived there a while. I should fix this issue

The hotel is Radisson Blu, right?

Well spotted

sarg, we walked quite a distance one night to have a meal in what I'd consider was a "traditional" restaurant, all bench tables and wooden stairways to upper levels, they even had a swordfight to entertain us, would that be the old town?

Tallinn (we have a flat there still), Haapsalu and Parnu. Here's a photo at the beach in Parnu as we'd arrived last summer.

Sounds like it yes, you need to go in the daytime, some beautiful old buildings and architecture.
