The aluminium door trim bits were a separate pack (though standard on W12 I think). Not sure about the chrome on door pockets.

When you Ally door trims you mean these yeah?

Look at the door pockets.

Cheers guys
I don't have the door pocket trims, and they look nice I have to say.

I'd like a set of them.
Off to ETKA later I think.

I think the door pocket trims cam on the second facelift as that is all I have seen them on >2008. Anyone confirm?
I have the aluminium bits on the vents, headlight switch etc... but the inch wide strip across the dash is painted metallic grey, I would be interested in replacing this, is it real aluminium or a better aluminium like finish? I wonder if it could be wrapped?

When you remove the door trims you can strip them down into 3 individual parts.
So I'd assume you can.

Same as snapdragon really not sure on changing the lower trim bits.
I would like the door pockets in chrome.

This my rear door.

That lower section in that painted grey is nice. Not sure if real alloy would be to much?

Hmmmm, I don't have a chrome bit around the light switch
Everywhere else apart door pockets, just not there now.

When I did carbon wrap on my car few months back I instantly thought about wrapping that silver bar all round. It's not chrome, just painted silver.
Re-spray is one option as it looks a bit older just below a new carbon wrap, but I thought about carbon wrap as well, just different colour.
Instantly I thought, and don't judge me here as its difficult to say without having a finished product, about white or silver carbon. White could look interesting in contrast with black just above it, but .... it may look completely ****

The tricky part to wrap is just the center part on the dash, just where where mmi screen and parking aid switches are, around them there is tiny groove which could be a problem.
A heat gun (which I use anyway) and my selection of window tinting tools I think would do the job, but can't be sure until I try.

When I did my carbon supplier I used had no other colours, but when I checked his page they do now same quality and design carbon in white, silver, even yellow etc so I may try at some point.

Yup.. Those bits.. It's proper metal rather than plastic. My set were from a LWB so I've still not gotten round to shortening the rear element to fit.

I'm more interested in the leather clad dash.
