My apologies, I completely forgot. That day I did mentioned that I'm busy as hell, but yesterday I just forgot as I've had all evening to my self so I was in shock. I'm doing it as we speak. 5min

OK, this is my understanding.
(you did follow the whole procedure as per Ross-Tech clip just in case??) I wouldn't use the login for the donor car, but current car. Have you tried this login: 06297 And then coding is correct: 0007597

It would not let me log in using my current car log in ? It seems to only accept the log in of the donor car ? ....

Ok yes its a 2003 D3 .. and hear is a whole host od modules I can get hold of .. il have to go and pick the correct one from london.
This first one is the module I removed first   The rest are what they have in stock ....     the one I fitted ended in H44 ...and lets me log in as a W12 but will only accept and store W12 settings ... and all I get is a dash board like a xmas tree foolishly I did not take a photo of the part I fitted I just assumed it would work... ps im very very very grateful for all the help im at a loose end with this

 I'm sure we will get to the bottom of this. I'm going out now for about 2-3 hours and will jump on it as soon I'm back. Are you far from London? Are they not prepared to ship it to you?? If not where are they Base coz if close to me I could pick it up and ship it over to you via ups next day??

From your picture am I correct in saying that a BD should work fine is that 8 cylinder + diesel too ?
