There is no in hell I would let anyone tow or dolly the 8 or any past 4x4.
No mater what they say, it's not happening. Flat bed a 4x4 only. I had a argument with AA in the past about towing my XR4x4. 3rd driver got it right with a flat bed. Don't risk it!!

The handbook says it can be done for less than 50kms at 50kmh max, I am a little wary though as the car is 10 years old with 133K miles on it with all that associated wear.
Drove it to the office this morning (1 mile) and its like driving a bag of spanners.

And the car has been picked up, a local recovery company have been subcontracted and its on a flatbed on its way. I've spoken to Poole Audi to let them know it should be with them in the next hour.

They called me at 9.30 this morning, apparently its all fixed having had the coils replaced.
They did one of their full inspections as well, and no problems to report except the lack of headlight washers which I know about. They obviously did not scan the car with the diagnostics tool as it would read like a book.
