Common problem I'm afraid. Passenger front door usually seems to fail first and there are a few threads on the issue on here.
I used to love turning down the brightness of the dials at night and having that strip lighting on while on a dark road.

The rear passenger door seems to be the most common one.
Not sure if its the strip or the controller. Hopefully I'll get to find the fault with mine tomorrow.
