Expect to pay between 90 and 110 for a 95Ah battery. GSF, Halfrauds etc are about the same price.

Going to get a Bosch silver one from Haflords it is £119, but mates got a trade card so £95, that is if the 335 can get me to Halfords in one piece, what with all this ice and snow

I got one of those about 2 months ago. Seems perfectly good to me. Good high aH rating as well.

Recommend removing the fuse box cover above the battery before trying to get it in. Be prepared for very sore knuckles...

Thanks for the fusebox pointer tip Zip, that seems like a good idea in hindsight. Fitted it last night, I could have got the Halfords one for £75 trade instead of £99 and it still comes with a 3 year warranty, buy I'm a sucker for only the best for my S8 so Bosch it was.

I'll have to get a battery as well I think. Ben slow to start on na couple of times and this morning there was the slow death of the charge - wouldn't crank at all and now nothing. I wonder whether the battery would also have something to do with the intermittant PRDN light sbeing lit very occaisionally (come sup as intermittant fault on VAGCOM). Will look at Halfords for a batrtery. Unfortunately wife has my XC90 and has left me her wonderful Renault Scenic... I was surprised that the battery went as it wasn't any colder last nigth (-8) than previous night (-10). Will have to see if new battery makes a difference.
