i bought my set from blauparts.com, got the basic one for $200(i think i got it on sale or something as i checked later and it was $235 or so) and water pump and T-stat from europaparts.com.

The timing kit is all INNA and the water pump is Hepu with metal impeller($cca 90). The T-stat is OEM(cheap anyway), 82C for hot climate country. Overall super-happy with the prices. I didn't go for the other ones on blauparts as i don't need their DIY's nor the coolant.

Is the damper the tensioner?

And what about rollers and guides?

And are these prices plus VAT or VAT included?

All prices including VAT.

As far as the rollers and guides go it's just the matter what they are called, Audi calls them idler pulleys.

Looks like I missed tensioner as the Audi has called it clamping lever, 2 versions depending on chassis number, See attached pdfs for more details. E has been superseded by F, price is £177-178 for all versions.

Unfortunately it can get expensive if you use genuine parts, change the lot and have somebody else do the job.

I did my PF on budget, first time belt only, about £30, second time belt £30 and damper about £60 from Germany + opened up rollers, cleaned old grease out and packed with new grease.

parts from wholesalers in france are a horrendous price , but on line , a different story ; and with the euro@1.40.....

eg

http://www.webdealauto.com/fr/pompe-...67.3096/1.html

seem to include 4 pulleys/belt/water pump/ some sort of tensioner!blow up the diagram to get a better idea or even roust out google translations

about once a month I get a free delivery offer in france , but as you can pickup in one of their shops dunkirk/calais/boulogne a few together making a day trip / booze cruise could make a very economic jolly !

amazing range on price of thermostats ..€8 to €40 !
