Default Oil temp display, hidden menu?

I probably asked this before, is there a hidden menu that will display oil temperatures in DIS?

Also I notice B8 S4 has a MMI option to display oil temp on the RNS-E, can a D2 A8 do this also if it has a RNS-E installed?

Thanks

I may be wrong, but I don't think the D2 has oil temp sender...

It sure does it lives in the sump. You can access its readings via VCDS under the instrument cluster menu.
Its really frustrating Audi didn't display this vaule, and other things like fuel in litres, etc.

How about tackling this from a different direction, for example an obd gauge cluster in the style of the old audi quattro

Goran, you can plug a small "bluetooth box" in OBD socket and leave it there. Then access all VCDS data on your iPhone. You can even build your custom dashboards with that software. I forgot the name though... Just google.

Thanks guys!
good ideas, either bluetooth so I can see stuff on my phone or a small OBD display with oil temp, etc, would do the trick.
Such a shame there is no way to display it on the little DIS screen on the dash.

Just a word of advice, the Bluetooth OBD sender is fine if you have android phone but if you have an iPhone then you should really get the wifi version of the plug in Obd sender (I have one of these) as the iPhone doesn't work with many bluetooth senders due to needing a particular protocol of Bluetooth that not many senders have

Default Torque is the name of the Android app.

I believe 'Torque Lite' is the name of the free app. on the Android/Google Play store. I did buy a couple of those bluetooth OBD jobs from eBay but they didn't seem to work on my facelift 2000 A8L but worked fine on an M3 and a <swearbox> Nissan Kumquat or whatever but not on my car - which was very annoying.

Anyone got any recommendations/links for a working OBDII bluetooth dongle?
