Over the past two years, i have done a few suspension components - upper control arms etc, new brake discs/pads and kept on top of the maintenance (gearbox flush, engine oil changes, power steering oil change) so was hoping that nothing else was going to bite me in the pocket.

Haha, I was thinking of offering to buy his car now! He did such a good job of getting mine in good condition (which I bought off him 3 years ago this week) that I feel he might have this one in good condition now too!!

I got fed up with MOT's at inconvenient times and just did them a bit earlier.
They are now both early autumn and avoid the tax renewal and holidays. I also moved both tax renewals from 31st Dec by having a 6-month-er a while back.

I hate that.
my last car has MOT, Tax and insurance all on the same day. Took me ages to split them apart. I'm trying to do the same now. Got two cars and both have tax and MOT at the same time.
