The car was always heavy on tyres and when I rebuilt the front end I went to some lengths to ensure that all the arms were specific for the 20" wheels and got it 4 wheel geo'do at that point.
It was a huge improvement after that, hopefully it'll be better again now.

Its interesting as my old D2 on 20s was not as hard on the front tyres.
One of the main problems is I live in a new house and the estate is a building site so roads are terrible which just does not help matters. Much better now after the alignment, the old girl has her balance back again.

IT's not weld, it's gaffer tape, filler on top with a few light drill marks to look like 'spot welds'
It'll be fine, the 2 halves will have rusted back together again by now,
