VAGCOM / VCDS changes

go to module 17, adaption 10, channel 19:
xxxx0 = disabled radio controlled clock
xxxx1 = enabled radio controlled clock

so change the last number to 1.

You can fool it into checking earlier than the normal overnight process, but probably pointless, today of all days.
(Someone worked out the logic, it's either earlier in this thread or linked to it. I fooled it just out of interest)

Set the clock to 2.50am and then lock and leave the car for an hour or 2 - should have sorted itself out by then if you keep disturbing it then it won't sync and the car needs to be shut down

When it's set the date will be correct but the time will be on mainland Europe so you then try setting the time manually and can correct the hour, but no other settings.

Be quick about it and come tomorrow morning it will have reset for daylight saving time automatically

The little mast symbol will always display assuming there's no failed time sync in normal use - mine works in the factory position even though it's always garaged when it's checking the time

Just to clarify, you set the hour offset (once it's got the radio symbol) using the menu control beside the handbrake.

Goodness knows why it took 4 days or so, but there you go. All I have to do now is get into the menu and set it t UK time (it's reading German time at the moment).
