over the festive period the boot has been opened and closed a lot of times. sometime the boot lid has been full of snow so when closed by other people it has closed very hard. anyway i now have a problem. the boot warning light on my dash says the boot is always open, the interior lights in the boot do not work and my alarm does not set as it thinks the boot is still open. can anybody give me any ideas ?

![]() Sounds like the lock sensor has been loosened or broken. It may be under the cover on the body, but that would probably be too easy and it'll be on the lock ![]()

The sensor is inside the lock (middle of the boot with a black plastic cover on as it's a bit confusing). It's about £25 for a new lock and takes less than half an hour to change. Just don't forget to connect the lock to the linkage before you close the boot.
